Bourbon Balls are a southern no bake cookie, eaten during festive occasions. I had never eaten a bourbon ball before but they were always on my list of southern recipes to try. I decided to make a batch, so I could include them in my holiday gift giving package, if I liked them. I take my first bite, a burst of bourbon favor covered my mouth and filled my nostrils with a pleasant warmth and lingered with the sweetness of powder sugar. They have layers of textures— soft, crunchy, and chewy. I loved eating them, they are lip smacking good, and simple to make. Bourbon balls are a great make ahead holiday treat. I created two gifts in one by packaging them in cellophane bags, sealed with a metallic twist tie, and attached a holiday theme wine glass charm. Give this recipe a try, keep some for yourself, and gift wrap a supply for a festive homemade holiday gift from your kitchen. Happy Holidays!
